AAP is a leader in child health, a non-profit professional membership organization of 67,000 paediatricians and child health professionals, which has been devoted for 90 years to the health and well-being of children by leading progress in the field of paediatrics and child healthcare. The AAP engages paediatric clinicians, families, and other stakeholders in more than 120 countries to disseminate evidence-based guidance, promote best practices, implement programs, and serve as advocates for supportive child health policy to improve the health of children through education, advocacy, partnerships with its sister societies, and programmes (Positive Parenting, Reach Out and Read, Bright Futures, Early Brain & Child Development Initiative, etc.). AAP is experienced in capacity building and supporting infrastructure development of societies and paediatricians; championing similar strategies domestically and internationally.
