This content is identical to the Jordanian curriculum
This course is developed based on a set of international standards and in an attractive manner to the students so they can employ and develop scientific and life skills such as discussion and critical thinking, taking into account the levels of growth and individual differences among them! One of the most important features of this course is its ability to connect directly to the daily life and activities of Arab students. Each lesson begins by presenting a mathematical problem that raises students' curiosity and motivates them to engage in the lesson from beginning to end! Studies have proven that students’ academic performance declines around the grade 4. The changes introduced from the level of the academic content and having a teacher for each subject create a shift in the experience which is challenging to adapt to. In order to help the children transition smoothly in their learning experience, our team has introduced a puppet, “Kurkum,” which accompanies the teacher in the lesson and acts as a mediator to bring the subjects to the students in fun and engaging ways!
This course covers:
_ Real numbers, processes and applications
_ Algebra and patterns
_ Statistics and probabilities
The Material is presented for the fifth grade through a series of videos, each of which addresses a specific mathematical concept by linking it to the student's life! A set of examples that illustrate the concept is presented throughout the videos and at the end of each lesson questions are asked based on the different levels that take into account the different levels of the students and help them to learn according to their needs and abilities.
