The “Teach Like a Champion” program deals with a series of applicable foundational and organizational techniques that support teachers in establishing a learning environment that actively integrates students and raises the level of academic and behavioral expectations in the classroom, thus enabling the teacher to achieve quality and efficiency in his teaching to improve student achievement. These behavioral and academic techniques also direct classroom practices towards more effectiveness, provide teachers with new techniques that enable them to keep students deeply engaged in learning. They also provide explanations, accompanied by video clips, of realistic classroom situations, allowing teachers to monitor teaching experiences in a practical, analytical and participatory manner. The “Teach Like a Champion” program helps teachers create an environment that is expected to include the highest levels of academic rigor, training, and value. This pervasive and basic academic spirit is one of the most important things that distinguishes distinguished classrooms from others. The techniques discussed in this section focus on raising the academic and behavioral expectations in the classroom. By adopting the importance of research at the highest level of academic rigor during the different stages of delivering lessons, as training in this chapter provides techniques that help teachers track the main tools and decisions that are taken in each lesson, and suggests appropriate techniques for each stage.
With more than 6 years working in several programs, projects at QRTA,I have gained a very good experience in designing, developing and delivering customized educational programs with a set of clear goals, such as Math network, Teach Like a Champion2.0, RAMP and TEPD. I have presented at the Teachers Skill Forum for the years 2015,2017, 2018 and 2019. With 20 years of experience as a math teacher for lower and higher grades, two years as an Intel trainer, I believe that I have true understanding of the education technology, ,that made it easier for me to be part of the team that developed, planned, and presented an online course(Education Technology: Principles, Strategies, and Applications) in cooperation with Edraak.
Mohammad Al Zoubi has been working in the Education field for 15 years .10 years as an Arabic teacher for both elementary and secondary stages in both private and public schools in Jordan, adding to that he has experience in working as an editor in some prestige’s Jordanian daily newspapers. He trained in some community organizations, for developing communication skills and human resources. Since joining the Arabic team at Queen Rania Teacher Academy 5 years ago, Mohammad helped in developing materials to improve methods of teaching Arabic in the classroom, he was also a team member for developing material for the Early grade reading and mathematics project (Ramp). Muhammad was also a member of the team that prepared and trained the training material for the training of Syrian assistant teachers and Jordanian teachers in the Syrian refugee camps. Mohammad was a member of the team that developed the Arabic language standards, He trained and developed material for grades 4 and 5 in the morphological awareness program, He is also a team member in Teach like a champion program.
