Around the world, governments are faced with new demands, increased expectations and a fast growing array of new technologies and tools by which such demands and expectations can be met.

The Innovations in Government course is provided by Mohammad Bin Rashid Center for Government Innovation, to offer key frameworks and tools for promoting excellence in the public sector and fostering innovative policy solutions to the 21st century challenges in government. It presents the Mohammed Bin Rashid Center for Government Innovation frameworks, and offers case studies from leading government around the world including Singapore, UK, US, Canada, and United Arab Emirates.

The course is designed for government employees who are interested in learning more about innovation, and who aspire to improve their institutions performance. It offers innovative methods and tools to inspire innovative ideas and find solutions to the challenges that face government entities.

From 2008 - 2012, Yasar was a Partner at Bain & Company and headed the Public Sector and Social Impact practice. Before that, he was a Partner at PwC for 4 years and led the Middle East Strategy Group, Global Education Group, and established the ME Public Sector Institute. Prior to joining PwC, Yasar served as the Executive Dean of the Dubai School of Government and as a Research Fellow at the Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University. He also served as the Strategy Advisor at The Executive Office of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum in Dubai for over 3 years and a as Senior Advisor at the Prime Minister’s Office (UAE Federal Government). In 2005, Yasar established the Government Performance Directorate in the Prime Ministry of Jordan and led the national team who developed the Jordan National Agenda 2015. Before that Yasar served as the Head of Policy and Strategy in the Executive Council of the Dubai Government since 2000. In 2009, Yasar was distinguished as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum (WEF) and founded the WEF’s Global Shapers Hub in Dubai. He is also a member of the WEF’s Global Agenda Council on the Future of Government since 2009, of which he was selected Vice Chair in 2015. Prior to that, Yasar worked in the UK as a Research Fellow in Cranfield School of Management and Bradford School of Management, and advised leading international organizations including DHL UK, Bank of Scotland, Shell, Emirates Airlines, Saudi Aramco, and Arla Foods. Yasar published extensively in various academic and trade journals, and his insights have been quoted in global and regional media.
