This course is a general upper intermediate English course that aims at improving the four skills of language – listening, speaking, reading and writing. The first two skills – listening and speaking – are to be developed by the learners through being exposed to the language of lecturing. The skill of reading will be enhanced through the various presented reading skills. Also, the grammar and vocabulary sections target improving intact writing, the speaking fluency, the linguistic repertoire as well as the reading power. In addition it aims at improving learners' vocabulary researvoir. The course will cover the following major areas: • Reading skills • Grammar • Vocabulary

She has a Bachelor degree in English Language and Literature, a Master's degree in Translation, and PhD degree in TEFL from Yarmouk University. Her research interests include: Teaching English as a second (TESOL) and as a foreign language (TEFL), and Functional grammar.

He has been a full time Lecturer at the Department of English Language and Linguistics, Jordan University of Science and Technology, since 2009. He has taught English general courses in addition to many major courses including grammar, writing, reading, general linguistics, contrastive linguistics, and semantics. His areas of interest are semantics and cognitive linguistics.
